Covid-19 contingency plan

A kit will be provided to each guest that that kit will contain: gloves, mask and disinfectant wipes.

All workers will be provided with gloves, protective masks and hydroalcoholic solutions, which will be mandatory, without exceptions. The kitchen staff, will use their usual protections.

Laundry will be washed at a temperature above 60oC to eliminate any type of risk that may exist. Bed sheets, towels and any other textile item will follow the same washing protocol.

The laundry transportation will always be done in closed bags; both the dirty clothes that will go from the Hotel to the laundry, as well as the clean ones to be used returned to the Hotel.

In catering services, restaurant, cafeteria, etc, there will be a tendency to reduce the use of textiles, following these the same protocol than laundry when washing. The use of multi-use synthetic materials will also be limited and reduce their uses.

The Hotel has taken the appropriate measures to maintain the workers safety distance, supply individual protection equipment as well as apply a secure space distribution to guarantee the safety of themselves and the clients.

In addition, material for personal disinfection such as disinfectant gels has been provided in each work station and a hand washing protocol has been established.

Greetings between clients, suppliers, employees, etc., will avoid physical contact at all times. Welcome greetings, to say goodbye or in any other circumstance, will be made remotely and following the established recommendations. Physical contact including shaking hands will be avoided.

The temperature control will be carried out on each employee at the moment they enter to work.

Likewise, in the case of guests, the temperature control will also be carried out at check in.

There will be non-contact thermometers available to be used by customers and workers.

The use of masks will be mandatory for all Hotel guests while passing through shared spaces, except in spaces where catering is offered such as the cafeteria, restaurant, terraces or lounges. In these spaces, the safety distance will be kept.

The perfect cleaning of the rooms and the rest of the Hotel areas has always been a priority. The meticulous cleaning of the rooms will be reinforced with special hygiene products to avoid any type of virus.

A new action protocol has been established for chambermaids, with special emphasis on the usual contact hands areas, as well as disinfection with approved disinfection products.

Check-in points will be protected with security screens.

It will be mandatory to every client to wash his hands with hydroalcoholic gel.

Each client's temperature will be taken. If this is less than 37.50o, the check-in will be done normally. If it is 37.50o or higher, the client will not be able to check- in and will have to leave the Hotel.

Neither the ID nor the customer's credit card will be touched. The client will only have to show them. Just in case it will be necessary to interact with them, they will be previously disinfected. The access key to the room will also be disinfected in the presence of the guest.

The paper exchange will be reduced as much as possible.

When checking out, we recommend the possibility of not delivering the invoice in paper format, and send it by e-mail.

The safety distance between people inside the Hotel will be of two meters. This safety distance will be mandatory for both customers and employees except when this distance will not be physically possible, such as when providing the ID or passport at the check-in, or when ordering f&b services to a waiter in the Hotel restaurant or cafeteria.

We have reorganized the tables distribution in the restaurant, cafeteria and lounges of the hotel, in order to fulfil with the safety distance indicated by the health authorities. We will control the safety distance of our guests. We will keep closed all those areas that will not be possible to be maintained that safety distance until further notice.

We recommend to move through the different floors using the stairs, avoiding the use of the elevators. This recommendation is accentuated when the movements are made from higher to lower floors. We also recommend to avoid contact with the stair railings. In any case, we inform that the railings will be cleaned and disinfected up to 5 times a day.

The Hotel elevators have a 10 persons capacity at the same time. However, the maximum use allowed will be for two people per transfer.

We will proceed with a constant and reinforced ventilation of all the Hotel areas. That ventilation will include rooms, corridors, lobby, restaurant areas, lounges, reception, personnel areas, etc.

The Hotel has different ozone machines which will be used daily for the perfect disinfection of the different areas of the establishment.

We have reduced the capacity of the restaurant, cafeteria and terrace, with special attention to the separation of the tables to comply with current regulations for the safety of our customers.

We have enabled other spaces and dining rooms to be able to offer the different catering services, which will be enabled according to the demand and customers affluence.

We will provide free room service for lunch and dinner during the first months of the Hotel reopening. Breakfast room service will continue to have an extra cost.

At the cafeteria and restaurant entrances, the available menus will be displayed on stands. We recommend to photograph these menus when entering and then tell the waiters the chosen dishes.

The menus can also be accessed through a QR code.

We will be based on individual assembly. Individual tablecloth (single use), paper napkin, cutlery, glassware and crockery, guaranteeing that the washing and disinfection process will be washed at more than 60 degrees.

For greater safety, in addition to the washing temperature, we have installed two water ozonating machines in the washing trains that will be running constantly.

The Hotel has been promoting the shuttle service as an essential service for its clients, reinforcing the staff and number of vehicles up to 5. Each vehicle has 9 seats (8 plus the driver), distributed in 3 rows of seats.

To respect safety distances, a maximum of 3 simultaneous clients (one per row), will be allowed to be transfer on each drive, and not 8 as in the past. The use of the mask will be mandatory for all users of the shuttle service.

The driver of each shuttle vehicle will be obliged to: wear a mask at all times, open and close the access doors to the vehicles to avoid customers having to manipulate the doors. Every driver, after each shuttle service, will open all the windows for a total ventilation of the vehicle. They will also carry out a disinfection of the entire passenger compartment every time there is a shift change between drivers. Finally, each vehicle will be ozonated daily at night for a total and complete disinfection. The Hotel has different ozone machines for this process.

Indicative posting signs will be placed in the restaurant, cafeteria, lounges, rooms and rest of the Hotel areas showing all the recommended preventive measures.

This contingency plan will be reviewed at all times by those responsible for the Hotel.

The processes and actions to be followed within the contingency plan will be flexible and may be modified always taking into account the health security that it pursues.

If a client or employee shows compatible Covid-19 symptoms, that person will be isolated in a hotel room without having any type of interaction with any other person. This circumstance will be communicated to the competent health authorities to follow the instructions they will determine. All the areas in which this person has been, will be temporarily sealed and disinfected to avoid any type of risk to other people. The disinfection of potentially contaminated surfaces will be carried out with products made for this purpose.

The Hotel has sufficient material resources to comply with the contingency plan at all times. It has a large stock of material in the establishment itself to comply with the plan, as well as fluent and direct communication with approved suppliers who will provide extra material if needed.

The Hotel will have permanent 24 hours a day disposal, both for clients as well as for employees and suppliers, hydroalcoholic gel dispensers distributed in the following places:

• Main access to the Hotel.
• Cafeteria, restaurant and terrace area access.
• Bathrooms access.
• Suppliers access.
• Each front desk place at the Hotel reception will have an individual dispenser. - Each waiter will have an individual dispenser to offer it to all customers.

At the end of the alarm state settled in Spain (22nd June, 2020), there were established maximum capacities allowed in the different places. The Hotel has established by his own more restrictive security parameters than those required by the authorities for greater precaution and will ensure that excessive concentrations of people will be avoided. These capacities are summarized:

• 50% in cafeteria, restaurant, terraces and lounges. Always establishing a 2 meter distance between tables.
• 50% of the front desk places will be occupied by Hotel staff. The other 50% will remain empty.
• 50% Hotel rooms maximum occupancy.
• 33% shuttle vehicles places maximum occupancy.
• 30% solarium and swimming pool maximum occupancy (when its use will be permitted).

The Hotel has hired a reputed and specialized Company in disinfection treatment against Covid-19 (EZSA Sanidad Ambiental), which will carry out periodic disinfection of all the Hotel facilities. This Company will issue the official certificates needed.

Disinfection by the Hotel staff will be daily.
